Being the new kid on the Rockcastle block in 2016, all the weddings were memorable for me. I learned something new with each one! Picking out a few to highlight was hard, but one that sticks out in my mind was this beautiful white on white wedding, with lush ivory roses, white hydrangea and scattered baby's breath. Set against the beautiful back drop of Bristol Harbour Resort. he elegant simplicity of the color palette made a spectacular statement.
In the fall, I was fortunate to work with two moms, who were helping their children plan weddings long distance. Both events happened to be scheduled at Sonnenberg Gardens, just weeks apart. The first bride, Sajal, wanted lots of color, with bright, fun bouquets featuring different textures and intense shades of orange, purple and green. The bright colors stood out against all the dark wood in the Sonnenberg Mansion and were the perfect accent for this upbeat event. The second bride, Rebecca, wanted a bouquet that was unique and different. Using flowering kale, safari sunset protea, with some queen anne's lace and seeded eucalyptus, Rebecca's bouquet was filled with rich fall colors of burgandy and purple, abundant texture and movement.
2017 holds the promise of many more memories... and I am so grateful to be able to be a part of them with the Rockcastle team!
